For our Christmas service music and sing along, Music Avenir has kindly agreed to come and play for us. An ensemble from Mulhouse, it has been giving concerts regularly for more than 60 years. It gives musicians of all ages, and levels a chance to play their instruments ‘ensemble‘ in a friendly atmosphere and to discover and appreciate a wide range of music from classical to popular. They play with their hearts, and hope that we will be many to celebrate together our Christmas sing along.

This is the fourth consecutive month UU Basel is organizing most of its activities around a single theme from the Soul Matters Ministry team. Rev. Lara Fuchs has trained 7 of us in structured classes, where we have learned principles and practices to help us develop inviting services.

Children’s RE is offered this Sunday, as we are scheduling our traditional service earlier in the month to accommodate members travelling over the holidays. Parents, please let us know if you are bringing children. In January we have a field trip planned for the children (details to follow).

Last month we got business out of the way, now we are ready to celebrate for the holidays! A pot luck holiday feast, including a turkey with all the trimmings is in the works.

Please fill in this Doodle so we all know what to bring

To accommodate the holiday schedule, there will be no Fellowship Circle in December.
