Coming up at UUBasel

Sunday, April 11

11:00: Sunday Service with Matt Gilsenan, on Zoom

‘The Way of Curiosity’

Learning to see things from another’s perspective can be an ongoing quest and part of our UU spiritual journey.
Join us on Sunday as Matt leads us in an exploration of this topic.

The Zoom call will open for gathering at 10:30

As usual, we’ll leave the Zoom room open over lunchtime for gathering and conversation, followed by…

13:00: A discussion on the day’s theme, also led by Matt, on Zoom

April 22 – 25, EUU Spring Retreat, on Zoom

Nourishing Body and Soul: The ethics of what we eat and why

Retreat registration is open!
The Autumn Retreat held on Zoom was a fantastic success and, since no travel or accommodation is required, much more affordable.

Friday, April 23

19:15: Covenanting (‘Doors’ close at 19:30 sharp)

(during the EUU Spring Retreat – note day!)

As part of the EUU Retreat. Rev Diane Rollert will lead a workshop on Covenanting. What does it mean to create a Covenant, as a beloved community? What is its purpose, what does it offer, and what does it ask of us? All active UUB members are encouraged to attend; all others are welcome, too!
Note: it is not necessary to sign up for the Retreat to attend this workshop; it will be run in our (new) usual account. We will be joined by other EUU Retreat attendees, so it will also be a great opportunity to meet new UU friends.

Saturday, April 24

(during the EUU Spring Retreat – note day!)

13:45: ‘The Way of Curiosity’ (doors close at 14:00 sharp)

Matt Gilsenan will lead a further workshop for Retreat attendees on the theme of his April 11 service, on Zoom. UUB members are welcome to attend; all others are welcome, too!
Note: it is not necessary for UUB members to sign up for the Retreat to attend this workshop, but it is necessary to email Matt to confirm that you will attend.
