Sunday, May 8
11:00 “The Religious Story and the Gospel of Bliss: Finding the Border between the Literal and the Symbolic.”
with Aron Müller
Aron Müller joins us at 11:00 in the Centrepoint Library upstairs at Im Lohnhof 8, Basel. Our meeting room from now until August requires a climb up a flight of stairs from our customary space.
Aron Mueller followed Talmudic and rabbinic studies. He graduated as a rabbi at age 23 while studying philosophy and psychology on a private basis.
From 1980 to 2004 he was Professor of Jewish studies in various institutions in Switzerland, France, Germany, USA and Israel. He was later called to serve as Rabbi of the Jewish community in Baden, Switzerland. He is now retired but remains active in intercultural and inter-religious dialogue for peace and understanding.
We will each bring food to share at 12:15 and meet for a workshop discussion from 13:00-14:15.
We’d love to see you in person, but you also have the option to join remotely via Zoom. Please request the link at UUBasel@gmail.com.
