Finding Ease in Heated Times

Since the weather is not co-operating with our picnic plans, our entrance into the 2023-24 UUB year wil have us return to our much-loved Im Lohnhof venue. The doors will open at 10:30 to provide setup and socializing time.
Our theme for the day remains the same:
Feeling irritable, cross, and seeking inspiration for our first gathering of the new UUB year, I watch trees yellowing for thirst from my current window, and my relishing the warmth and sun is tinged with guilt.
As I try to think of what more I might do to reduce my footprint on our scorching planet and what I might prepare for our August 27 meeting, I long for ease, flow, gentle words, kind and compassionate ways – and then the Rhein calls, whispering in my ear, ‘picnic! picnic!’.
So, whatever the weather, let’s picnic; indoors!
We’ll meet on an imaginary grassy area/sandy beach, where we might cool off, share the tales of our summers & dream gentleness into our beings and doings to ease and sustain us into Fall. Will you join us?
Bring drinks, food, blankets to sit on if you wish, and try to avoid unnecessary single-use plastic.
Nearest tram stop: Musicakademie, #3 tram. From SBB, take any tram going towards Aeschenplatz, then switch to the #3, continuing in the same direction.
Please let us know if you’ll attend, and if you’re unavoidably delayed we’d love it if you’d enter as quietly as you can.
