Sunday February 11 at UU Basel

Returning to our Spiritual Centre

In an increasingly divided world, we will explore ways in which spiritual practices, alone and together, can help us reconnect with our ‘spiritual centre’ and weather the occasional storms of daily life.

  • 11:00, Im Lohnhof 8 (doors open 10:30)
  • 12:15 Shared Meal of your contributions. Please bring a dish to share.
  • 13:15-14:45 a workshop discussion

After lunch, Rev. Kate will offer a taster session, using the structure taken from her forthcoming book and spirituality course for small groups:  Soul Deep: Exploring Spirituality Together, which is due to be published in April.
Through poetry, meditation and gentle individual activities, we open ourselves up for deeper sharing of our stories and connection in small groups.

Kate Dean, minister for Rosslyn Hill Unitarian Chapel, an open-minded spiritual community in Hampstead, North West London, holds an MA in Abrahamic Religions. With a creative, earth-centred approach cultivated by a childhood in rural Somerset, and having studied product design at University, Kate had a number of careers in toy and games design, project management and youth work, organising creativity and spirituality groups, before embarking on her training for ministry.
She has also served on the planning panel for the Hucklow Summer School, an all-ages Religious Education programme for Unitarians, where she first co-led engagement groups, several of which she leads at her ‘home’ congregation in Hampstead. Kate lives in Hampstead, with her husband and young son.
