Sunday March 10 at UU Basel

The Divided Brain and the Search for Meaning

In our last meeting, we saw a documentary on the work of Psychiatrist, Neurology researcher and Philosopher Ian McGilchrist.

This upcoming service, Matt Gilsenan will lead us on an exploration of the two ways of seeing the world McGilchrist proposes, and their effect on humanity’s search for truth and meaning.

Enjoy the service on its own, or you may choose to familiarise yourself with McGilchrist’s work by downloading the movie (small fee)

You are invited to bring food to share. After service we will have a shared meal at the Lohnhof, followed by a discussion on the topic.

  • 11:00, Im Lohnhof 8 (doors open 10:30)
  • 12:15 Shared Meal of your contributions. Please bring a dish to share.
  • 13:15-14:45 a workshop discussion

Directions: Nearest tram stop: Musicakademie, #3 tram. From SBB, take any tram going thru Bankverein, then switch there to the #3 in the same direction.

If you’re unavoidably delayed we’d love it if you’d enter as quietly as you can.
