Sunday April 28 at UU Basel

We will listen to a reading of “The Islanders”, the introductory chapter of The Sufis, by Idries Shah. Les Andrews will moderate a period for comments. As understanding of this story grows with repetition, you may listen in advance here. “Perhaps the best introduction to the body of Shah’s work, the most comprehensively informative.”, The New York Times.

The Sunday Sanctuary at 11:00 will be followed by lunch together at a local restaurant. We will return at 13:30 for a workshop to explore “The Physiology of Meditation” , a discussion on its practice and purpose by Robert Ornstein, PHD.

Directions: Nearest tram stop: Musicakademie, #3 tram. From SBB, take any tram going thru Bankverein, then switch there to the #3 in the same direction.

If you’re unavoidably delayed we’d love it if you’d enter as quietly as you can.
