We, the Unitarian Universalists of Basel (UU Basel), are a group of individuals cherishing diversity of thought and belief committed to supporting one another in spiritual growth.
Formed in 2010, UUB enjoys widespread support from the worldwide UU community. A number of well respected and sought after ministers have supported our congregation by traveling from elsewhere in Europe and North America. Their efforts are complemented by our own members’ lay-led services.
We are diverse in faith, gender identity, ethnicity, history and spirituality, but aligned in our desire to make a peaceful difference for the good.
We need not think alike to love alike. We are individuals of many beliefs and backgrounds: some with a religious background, some with none, some who believe in a God, some who do not, and some who let mystery be.
We are Unitarian Universalist and, as personal choice, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Humanist, Jewish, Muslim, Pagan, theist, atheist and agnostic, and more.
We welcome you: your whole self, with all your truths and your doubts, your worries and your hopes. Join us on this extraordinary adventure of faith. Get involved!
